20 May 2023 Sister Saturday

Updated: Oct 7, 2023

I've been struggling with writing this blog. Our past Sister Saturday was heavy but very empowering. Maybe, I am still trying to process some things we discussed. Normally, I like to recap the topics we talked about but I will not expound on them in this blog post. I just couldn't find the words to properly explain our time together. It was definitely much needed though. That's what sisterhood is about, right? Embracing, encouraging, accepting, supporting, and loving each other. These moments are very important and special to me. It teaches me how to be consistent with my commitments, as well as embrace, encourage, accept, support, and love. We need each other. It is good to come together and create a safe space for each other where there is no competition or judgement. I've been in many situations with other women, black women to be specific, where I get prejudged or feel like there is some type of competition. I don't want to compete but I do want to help each other grow. I am so blessed and thankful that I have two beautiful sisters that I can be vulnerable and walk in my truth with, without any judgement or competition.

So, here's to the laughter, tears, growth, and celebrating our accomplishments! Here's to SISTERHOOD!

♥️Sincerely Eliza
